The Braber BE-SS2HD is a heavy-duty 2-shank subsoiler built to break up hardpan and deep soil compaction that ordinary tillage can't reach. Mounting to a Category 1 & 2 3-point hitch and pulled by a tractor in the 60–74 HP range, it drives two shanks as deep as 28" to fracture compacted subsoil, improve drainage, and open the ground for deeper, healthier root development.

A shear bolt protects the implement from hidden obstructions, removable storage makes transport and handling easier, and a stable 992 lb build keeps the shanks working at depth. With 27" tine spacing across a 48" working width, the BE-SS2HD covers ground efficiently in a single pass.

Years of equipment traffic and natural settling create a compacted layer — hardpan — below the surface that blocks water drainage and stops roots from reaching deeper moisture and nutrients. The BE-SS2HD's two shanks penetrate up to 28" to fracture that layer without inverting the topsoil, restoring drainage and air movement deep in the soil profile. The 27" tine spacing across the 48" working width shatters compaction between and around the shank paths for thorough coverage.
