The Braber BE-EFGC200H is a 78" flail mower — the widest in the line — equipped with hammer blades for heavy-duty mulching of grass, weeds, and brush. Mounting to a Category 1 & 2 3-point hitch with a fixed center hitch and driven by a 540 RPM PTO, it's matched to tractors in the 55–70 HP range — a high-capacity mulching tool for utility tractors clearing large acreage, orchards, and rough, overgrown ground.
An adjustable offset from 33" to 45" lets you trim along edges and under obstacles, a side belt drive delivers smooth power, and adjustable skid shoes set the cutting height — all on a sturdy 948 lb build.
This version of Braber's 78" flail mower comes fitted with 32 hammer blades — the heavier-duty blade option built to tackle dense weeds, brush, and small saplings that finer grass knives can't handle. The hammer-flail design pulverizes tough, woody material into fine mulch, making the BE-EFGC200H the right choice for clearing and reclaiming large overgrown areas. (The flail/grass-knife configuration is available as the BE-EFGC200F for a finer cut on grass; the mower accepts 64 flails or 32 hammers, so blades can be changed to suit the job.)
A flail mower works differently from a rotary cutter, and that difference is its biggest advantage. Instead of a few large blades, a flail mower uses a high-speed rotor fitted with many small, free-swinging blades. As the rotor spins, the blades shear the material and throw it up and over the rotor, dropping it back to the ground finely mulched — without throwing debris sideways. That makes the BE-EFGC200H far safer to run near buildings, fences, roads, and people, and leaves a cleaner, more even finish. Because the blades swing freely on the rotor, they deflect off rocks and obstacles rather than breaking, and the precise blade overlap means no uncut strips.
The BE-EFGC200H mounts and powers up directly from your tractor:
Fitted with 32 hammer blades for heavy-duty mulching of dense weeds, brush, and small saplings, the BE-EFGC200H handles tougher material than a grass-knife setup. The mower also accepts 64 flails if you want to switch to a finer grass cut.
A side belt drive transfers power smoothly from the gearbox to the rotor, maintaining blade speed and reducing the vibration that wears components — a dependable, proven drive arrangement.
The mower's adjustable offset from 33" to 45" lets you shift the deck to the side of the tractor, for trimming along edges, under fences, and beneath obstacles that a center-mounted mower can't reach.
Adjustable skid shoes set and hold the cutting height precisely, protecting the rotor and giving consistent results across uneven ground.
At an 84.5" overall width over a 78" working width, the BE-EFGC200H covers ground quickly with a stable, balanced footprint.
With hammer blades and clean, contained mulching, the BE-EFGC200H is suited for:
